The Ambassador of Japan in the Philippines Acknowledged TISC’s Students’ “Furusato” in Twitter

Ambassador Koshikawa Kazuhiko – The Ambassador of Japan in the Philippines posted the video of TISC’s students singing “Furusato” in his official Twitter Account last June 29, 2021.
According to his twit, he remembered his childhood as he watched the video of the students singing “Furusato” meaning hometown. The video was sent to him in appreciation to the embassy’s program, “Hello! Japan”.
Mrs. Mary Glaizel Dela Cruz hosted the activity, “Hello! Japan” on TISC during the Summer Sizzlers of the Upper School Department, as a culminating activity for Summer Class 2021.
The activities involved a discussion about the brief history and culture of Japan, facilitated by the embassy’s representative and “origami” making headed by Ms. Celestina Clven Teves.
The culminating activity was aimed to end the summer school with a fun, engaging and informative activity after studying Japanese Music, as well as the language, stories and culture of Japan itself.
The video of the students singing “Furusato” was compiled by Ms. Teves from the videos of the students’ Performance Task in Music, Wellness, and Creative Arts subject.
